MALVERN — Diane (LaMar) Caple of Malvern,

-

Ark., passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born in Waco, Texas, on June 19, 1955, to parents Charles E. LaMar and Dorothy (Garrett) LaMar.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Nancy Haltom of Henderson, Tenn.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Caple; her son, Chris Ray (Manika) of Vilonia; daughter, Alysia Carter (Keith) of Scott; bonus daughter, Tess Caple (Burak Tuncel) of Northfield, N.H.; and grandsons, Brice Ray, Nick Ray, and Ethan Colon; also siblings, Charles G. LaMar (Sondra) of Fort Smith, Ed LaMar (Eunice) of Dover, and Patty Stakland (Steve) of Lehi, Utah; and a myriad of nieces and nephews and their children.

Her career was in accounting and she loved it even in retirement. She did budgets/expenses even in their personal life. But the true loves of her life were Jesus, her amazing kids and grandkids (that were just everything to her), her wonderful husband Jeff, music, planting flowers, dancing, joking around/laughing and the great outdoors (hiking, swimming, camping, fishing)! And friends – several that she knew for over 50 years!

She cherished any time she had with her kids/grandkids. She collected thousands of pictures of them in photo albums having family time or celebrations or fun vacations! She met her husband late in life and they married at age 59, but made the most of their autumn/winter years. Cruising and road trips (car or motorcycle) were a big part of their lives.

After giving her life to Christ at age 31, Diane was involved in church. She sponsored several children through World Vision for over 25 years. Her heart was for saving the unborn and reaching out to the homeless and others in great need. And she was always ready to share about Jesus with anybody!

Although she had her share of difficulties, she was known to say, “I have had an incredible life!”

The family wishes to thank Elite Hospice of Hot Springs, especially nurses Stephanie and Whitney, for their tender care of Diane.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ashby’s.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Social Hill Cemetery.
