HENSLEY — Mary L. “McIver” Roberts,

-

age 93, of Hensley, passed on Friday January 5, 2024, and the gates of Heaven opened and the Angel we knew on Earth received her wish to go home to join Her Heavenly Father & Savior, and family there awaiting her. In Heaven, she will be united with the love of her life, her husband, Lloyd, who has been waiting for 35 years for her. Also, she will be joined with her mother, Katie Yocom McIver, who was taken from this Earth when she was only six years old. Awaiting family will include her very loving step-mother, Mae Mc Iver; three sisters: Betty McCorkle, Carolyn Riggins, and Janice Brown; four brothers: Vincent “Bud” McIver, Donald McIver, Ronald McIver, and infant brother, John Archie McIver; along with the hundreds of Christian friends & neighbors she made while on this earth. Throughout her entire life, she always served the Lord, best known for the many lives she touched thru the work within the many Churches she volunteered in: nurseries, day care, study groups, Sunday school classes, and vacation bible schools. Born in Guernsey (Hope), Ark., on November 29, 1930, unto Early & Katie McIver, Mary has left a great impression on hundreds of lives she crossed throughout Christian affiliations; the greatest of all has been her family: two sons, Mike & Judy Roberts, of Little Rock, and Preston & Myra Roberts, of Hensley; four grandchildren: Josh & Kathrine Roberts, of Scott, Camille Roberts, of Hensley, Lisa & Joe Bush, of Bryant, and Stephanie Roberts; along with fourteen loving & incredibly special great-grandchildren, six nieces, five nephews, and two sisters-in-law. “WE WILL ALL MISS THE ANGEL WHOM LOVED AND GUIDED US THRU LIFE” Mary’s All Time hope, even in her 80’s, was to help the old people and visit the sick. The family wishes to thank long time and very thoughtful care giver, Trish Thomas, along with Gentiva Hospice Group, of Pine Bluff, and most of all, we would like to THANK Brother Rick Porter, pastor of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church, for the many years of

fellowship he has shown this family. WE THANK YOU.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 11, at Ashby Funeral Home. Final Resting will be at Pine Crest Gardens, in the Gardens of the Apostles, in Alexander, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that your gift be given to the Pleasant Hills Church, 24310 N. Sardis Rd., Bauxite, Ark., 72011, to better serve the LORD.
