MOUNTAIN HOME — Ina Corinne Smith Miller,

of Mountain Home, Ark., passed away December 16, 2023, in Springdale, Ark., at the age of 92.

She was born December 18, 1930, in Hot Springs, Ark., the daughter of Arvy Richard and Linnie Pearl Geurin Smith. She married William Russell Miller on January 20, 1952, in Hot Springs, Ark. The couple was fortunate to be able to travel all around the world on mission trips. Ina taught at both Cotter and Mountain Home schools, as well as working part-time at Miller Oil Company.

Ina lived in Mountain Home since moving there in 1962. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home, and very involved in choir and WMU Women’s Missionary Union. Ina was part of a large family and cherished all of her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She recently moved to Springdale, Ark., to be closer to her daughter, Carol.

Ina is survived by her daughter, Carol (Rip) Gresham, of Springdale, Ark.; son, Ray Miller, of Harrison, Ark.; granddaugh­ter, Natalie Nix, of Jonesboro, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her seven brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until service time, at First Baptist Church, in Mountain Home. A Celebratio­n of Life will follow at 10 a.m., with Pastor Tad Rogers officiatin­g. A private burial will be in the Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Ark. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Music Department, or the Russell & Ina Miller Endowment Scholarshi­p Fund at Ouachita Baptist University.
