OHIO VALLEY MEN UALR 77, SOUTHERN INDIANA 75

Arkansas-Little Rock ended its twogame skid by defeating Southern Indiana on Thursday night at Screaming Eagles Arena in Evansville, Ind.

Khalen Robinson finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds UALR (9-10, 3-3 Ohio Valley Conference). Jordan Jefferson scored 12 points and DeAntoni Gordon and Jamir Chaplin each added 10.

Makhel Mitchell made all four of his field-goal attempts and finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench for the Trojans.

Southern Indiana (5-14, 2-4) was led by guard Jeremiah Hernandez, who led all scorers with 28 points. Hernandez converted on 16 of 16 shots from the free throw line. Jack Mielke scored 17 points for the Screaming Eagles, while Javius Moore made four three-pointers and finished with 15 points.

ASUN MEN CENTRAL ARKANSAS 96, LIPSCOMB 86

Led by freshman Tucker Anderson, the University of Central Arkansas hit a school-record 19 three-pointers to defeat Lipscomb on Thursday night at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

The Bears (7-13, 3-1 ASUN) were 19 of 31 (61.3%) on three-pointers. Anderson led the way by hitting 6 of 10, while Daniel Sofield and Masai Olowokere each went 4 for 4 from behind the arc. Elias Cato and Carl Daughtery Jr. each made two three-pointers and Johan Kirsipuu had one.

UCA entered averaging 8.1 three-pointers per game.

The Bears got off to a hot start thanks to five quick points from Anderson. UCA took a 52-40 lead into halftime as Lipscomb (11-8, 2-2) shot 36.4% from the field.

In the second half, the Bisons fought back to outscore the Bears 46-44 after the break, but a bench unit led by Sofield and Cato gave the visitors a much-needed boost with 21 bench points.

Anderson led all scorers with 26 points. Masai Olowokere had 16 and Sofield 15. Daughtery and Cato each added 10.

ASUN WOMEN EASTERN KENTUCKY 65, CENTRAL ARKANSAS 58

After holding a double-digit lead for much of the first half, the University of Central Arkansas fell to Eastern Kentucky Thursday night at Baptist Health Arena in Richmond, Ky., for its first conference loss.

The Sugar Bears (11-6, 3-1 ASUN) led 29-24 at halftime while they peppered the paint with 22 of their points. Randrea Wright and Jade Upshaw combined for 17 points at the break.

In the second half, Eastern Kentucky (13-5, 2-2) returned the favor with 26 points in the paint. The Colonels, who shot 28% from the field in the field half, hit 53% of their shots in the second half, finishing the game on a 11-5 run over the final 6 minutes.

Upshaw led UCA with 15 points and Wright with 13, while Leah Mafua and Kinley Fisher finished with eight points each.

After a cold start to the night, Antwainett­e Walker led Eastern Kentucky with 19 points, followed by three other Colonels in double figures.

OHIO VALLEY WOMEN SOUTHERN INDIANA 58, UALR 48

Arkansas-Little Rock had its threegame winning streak snapped Thursday night as it fell to Southern Indiana at Screaming Eagles Arena in Evansville, Ind.

Southern Indiana (11-5, 6-0 Ohio Valley Conference) remained undefeated in conference play with the win and extended its winning streak to seven games.

Madison Webb recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Screaming Eagles. Vanessa Shafford scored 10 points and pulled down six rebounds, while Meredith Raley and Triniti Ralston added seven points for Southern Indiana.

UALR (5-12, 4-2) shot just 18 of 60 (30%) from the field. Jayla Brooks scored a team-high 11 points and collected four rebounds. Leilani Wimbish-Gay was the only other Trojans player to score in double figures, finishing with 10 points.
