Rodney Clint Hogan Sr., age 77, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024. Born Nov. 13, 1946 in Pine Bluff, Rodney was the son of the late Gerald Hogan and Margorie Lee Kilcrease.

He attended Fairview High School in Camden where he met the love of his life, Nancy C. Smith, whom he married on April 7, 1965. Rodney dutifully served his country as an Air Force Service Member from 1965 to 1969, an Army Service Member from 1971-1973 and a member of the Coast Guard from 1973-1977. He worked in security at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and retired from the Arsenal Fire Department. He was awarded a certificat­e for serving 30 years in the US Government. He was a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge. He attended South Pinewood Baptist Church. Rodney was an avid shooter, winning numerous trophies in the Pistol Shoot at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He loved hunting, fishing and golf. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in his backyard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Nancy and a half-brother, Greg Kilcrease.

Survivors include his son, Rodney C. Hogan, Jr. and daughter, Tonia Richmond (Scotty); one step-brother, Sammy Kilcrease; three grandchild­ren, Carter Lee Hogan, Kera Brook Jackson (Clint), Courtney Jordan McKinley; and six great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., at Ralph Robinson Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Wheeler will officiate. There will be a private graveside service for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research.
