KERR — Mr. Lieutenant Johnson,

83, of Little Rock, Ark., departed from this earthly realm on Sunday, February 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, hard work, and profound love for his family.

He was born to the late George

N. Johnson and Earnestine Hughes Johnson on May 27, 1940, in Kerr, Ark. He is the grandson of the late Lieutenant Johnson and Sara Martin Johnson, from Kerr Ark.

Lieutenant accepted Christ under the leadership of Reverend Barsley of St. Joe Missionary Church, then in Kerr, Ark. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Kerr, Ark. with the Class of 1959. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad. Since his retirement he had enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching sports and talking with family and friends.

Lieutenant was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 54 years, Mrs. Lillie L. Harvey Johnson, a son, Shawn C. Johnson. He was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters: George Johnson, Dorothy Hill, Tenzella Dyer, Sarah Johnson, Bill and Buck Johnson, Jaunita Stanley, Odell Johnson, Robert Johnson, Mildred Johnson and one half-sister Verna Jackson.

Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memories; two daughters, Kimberly L. Johnson of North Little Rock, Ark., and Kelli D. Johnson of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Kenya Sandridge of Portland, Maine, Andriynne Peel of Bryant, Ark., KeJuan Johnson of New York, Kendal Sandridge of Brooklyn, N.Y., Khateema, Kamare and Kymasia Johnson of North Little Rock, Ark.; a brotherin-law, Fred Dyer of Little Rock, sisters-in-law, Cora Sabb Johnson of San Antonio, Texas and Jennie L. Harvey of North Little Rock, Ark. He also leaves a treasure trove of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Johnson’s Celebratio­n of Life Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. Little Rock, Ark. 72202. (501)372-1305.
