Naomi Basham Hilton

-

Naomi Basham Hilton was born January 12, 1940, in Oak Grove, La., to James Festus and Audie Marie Watkins Basham. She was a graduate of Bastrop High School and later became the secretary for Dollarway High School. She loved camping and spending time with her friends in the Rail Runner Sams group. Naomi loved baking cakes and arranging flowers, but her biggest love was her family. She loved playing with the grandchildren, and they remember her as a fun grandmother who would often entertain them by talking like Donald Duck. She was always looking out for others and would do anything to help them and will be fondly remembered by everyone as the most good-hearted and giving person. Naomi loved the fellowship of her church family, Calvary Baptist Church, in White Hall.

She passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, in a Little Rock care center, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver H. “Bo” Hilton; a daughter, Linda Kay Crabtree; and her siblings, James Virgil Basham, Lawrence Basham, Dorothy Mae Havens, Maxine Busby, Annette Nutt, and an infant sibling.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Hilton and Bruce Hilton; four grandchildren, Shannon Reed, Kristi Reed, Casey Hilton, and Jim Hilton; three great-grandchildren, Landon Reed, Christopher Reed, and Elaina Martin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. Bro. Rodney Castleberry will officiate, and burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1214 Robin Rd., White Hall, Ark. 71602.
