CEDARVILLE 51, DANVILLE 33 Cedarville outscored Danville 22-4 in the third quarter to claim an opening-round victory over Danville and advance to today’s game against Booneville. Rylee Partain hit a trio of three-pointers during the outburst, which broke a 20-20 halftime deadlock. Partain finished with 15 points to lead the Lady Pirates, followed by Caroline Morrow with 14 and Serenity Johnson with 10. Frida Campos had 13 for Danville.

PARIS 47, HACKETT 46 Annabelle Perry hit a three-pointer just before time expired as Paris edged Hackett and moved on to today’s game against Two Rivers. Perry finished with 25 points for the Lady Eagles, who trailed 30-29 to start the fourth quarter, while Makalie Carter added 12. Alona Rothwell had 17 points to lead Hackett, followed by Jessie Mendenhall with 11 and Aaliyah Escoffier with 10.

BOYS

DANVILLE 48, CEDARVILLE 34 Danville built a 28-16 halftime cushion and went on to post a win over Cedarville and advance to today’s game against Cossatot River. Alex Mullins had 17 points to lead a trio of players in double figures for the Little Johns, who pulled away after Cedarville pulled within 32-23 to end the third quarter. Jaxson Brents added 12 points and Angel Alvarez 11 for Danville, while Hayden Davis led Cedarville with 15.

TWO RIVERS 52, PARIS 45 Kory Denny hit two free throws to break a 4545 deadlock with 1:42 remaining and Two Rivers went on to defeat Paris. Diego Casamayor had 23 points and Denny 11 for the Gators, who started the fourth quarter with a 40-39 lead. Brady Baumgartne­r had 16 for Paris, while Jayden Carter added 10.
