Peggy’s family and friends will remember her as a loving and devoted wife and mother to her children and grandchildren. For many years she enjoyed gardening, tennis, embroidery, and her needlepoint skills and preparing home cooked meals which included fresh shelled peas and corn-on-the-cob “put away” every summer for year-round country dinners for her family and larger gatherings.

She was a great organizer and used her skills very well as an excellent bookkeeper and office manager for both family businesses, The Royal Pharmacy and Town and Country Insurance. She also was a member of Jonesboro Junior Auxiliary, volunteered with United Cerebral Palsy, and was a member of First United Methodist Church Jonesboro for over 50 years.

Her many other blessings included countless weekends spent on Lake Norfolk with grandkids, family, and friends, travels to watch her son, Todd, play golf, long trips across and around the country, and numerous family pets through the years. But she felt her life’s most precious blessings were her six grandchildren.

In the most recent years, she faced many health adversities but did so with grace and thankfulness for her husband, Dick and her family’s love and care.
