81, of Little Rock passed away March 24, 2024. He was born May 6, 1942, in Beebe, Ark. to Paul Lowell Staggs, Sr. and Jennie Mairee Ross Staggs.

Lowell attended school in the Beebe School System and at Arkansas State Junior College in Beebe. He had been a patient at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 1950-1951. He returned for a summer job in 1960. After completing two years at Arkansas State Junior College, he returned in 1962 for full-time employment working in several areas of the hospital. Lowell retired at the end of December 2007 after 45½ years of dedicated service. He had an interest in photograph­y, he was past president of the Greater Little Rock Camera Club and served one term as a Justice of the Peace for Pulaski County. Lowell was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Little Rock.

He is survived by numerous cousins and friends.

A Celebratio­n of Life service will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Susan Ledbetter officiatin­g. A service will also be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Ark. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Carol Grace officiatin­g. Burial will be in Beebe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 800 Children’s Way, Little Rock, Ark. 72202 or the Asbury United Methodist Church, 1700 Napa Valley Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72211.
