Immigrant invasion
A conservative original-reporting and breaking news publication founded by Tucker Carlson, a former writer for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette editorial page and commentary host on Fox News, published an important story the other day; one, sadly enough, I seriously doubt you would read or watch in today’s mainstream media.
Jake Smith of the Daily Caller reported that our public coffers, labor, schools, hospitals and political power are being affected by the continuous flood of those coming illegally yet invited by this administration, unvetted and without criminal or medical histories.
Contrast those with the millions of immigrants who arrived legally through Ellis Island in New York over 40 years. They were approved, backgrounds vetted and released into federal programs that led to valid citizenship.
Smith writes, “Immigration into the U.S. has risen so rapidly that it beat out federal projections by decades, according to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) … .
“Immigrants in the U.S. rose to a record high of 51.4 million as of February 2024, representing 15.5 percent of the total population, according to CIS. The U.S. Census Bureau published projections in November which estimated that the share of foreign-born nationals in the U.S. would not reach 15.5 percent until at least 2039, making the projections ‘obsolete,’ CIS authors Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler wrote.”
My long-unanswered question for the president and/or anyone in his party lingers: Why are we encouraging and allowing such a destructive invasion to our nation?
Mr. President, just spend as long as it takes to finish off an ice cream cone during your wall-towall schedule and explain to us on the record why we are suffering and the millions of illegals are apparently being pampered with our taxes when you could easily end it with a simple executive order, as other presidents before you have done?
I suspect at least half the thinking adult nation sees full well the nakedly political agenda playing out here. Americans just needs to hear it officially.
Barack Obama said years back that elections having consequences. We certainly have millions of those in our 2024 America that once exercised and enforced long-standing laws that served it just fine. And what does this suffocating flood mean for our legitimate citizens’ children and theirs?
Once again, sir: Why are you allowing this assault on America even to the point of fighting Texas for trying to secure its own border?
ARKANSAS MAN SLAIN
My promise to valued readers is to keep you abreast of maulings and killings of innocent citizens and their pets by pit bulls and other large dogs whose owners fail to adequately restrain them.
So let’s get into today’s sad story out of Jacksonville.
Reuben Pierce of Lonoke County was practically torn apart and hospitalized with severe injuries by neighbors’ pit bulls last Oct. 30; he died after extensive hospital care on Jan. 24.
That killing led to a misdemeanor criminal charge in Lonoke District Court against the dogs’ owners, Kenneth Cash and Jennifer Swartz, followed by a wrongful death civil lawsuit filed by Wilma Korth, administrator of Pierce’s estate, citing several alleged offenses and seeking not less than $75,000 each for compensatory and punitive damages, and well as attorney fees.
Jacksonville attorney John Ogles, representing the estate, alleges in his filing that the two pit bulls mauled and tore at Pierce’s body in ways that were “horrible and painful.” He told me it was the worst he’d ever seen. He also said the dogs had a history of attacking other people in the area.
Defendants’ pit bulls are deemed vicious, and a dangerous breed of dogs as established by the American Kennel Club and the United Kennel Club,” his allegations add, noting that the defendants had custody, control and possession of the pit bulls that caused Pierce’s injuries and death and are strictly liable for what transpired.
Moreover, the lawsuit alleges, they “were aware that their pit bulls had dangerous tendencies because the dogs had attacked and bitten other people. Defendants are aware of and put on notice. …
Reuben Pierce endured pain and suffering, mental anguish, severe injuries, and medical bills, all proximately caused by the actions of defendants.”
Hmmm, sounds a lot like just what I’ve been saying for over a year now about those who fail to restrain their pit bulls, mixes and other large dogs, doesn’t it? Do you suppose someone’s pet mountain lion would have done any worse to this poor deceased man who leaves behind a wife of 44 years?
Oh, but wait a second, you can’t legally own one of those, or a tiger, or grizzly and set it free on a family or the public, now, can you?
I’m hoping Ogles becomes to dog maulings and slayings in Arkansas what attorney Joey McCutchen of Fort Smith has become today in fighting Freedom of Information Act violators across the state.
Now go out into the world and treat everyone you meet exactly like you want them to treat you.
