Blanche Sweeney

HAZLET - Blanche Sweeney, 93, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 11, 2024. She was born September 25, 1930, in Bayonne, and grew up in Fairview. On February 3, 1951, Blanche and her husband, John, were married and started their life together in Fairview. Shortly after, in 1956, they settled in Union Beach, where they remained to raise their family. Blanche was currently living in Hazlet. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Emma (Hartmann) Hendra, her beloved husband, John E. Sweeney, and her son, John G. Sweeney. Blanche is survived by her loving children, Carol Schultz and her husband, William, Janet Manochio and her husband, Alfonse, Elizabeth A. Sweeney, Mark Sweeney and his wife, Beth, and Paul Sweeney and his wife, Irene, her dear brother, William Hendra, her 6 cherished grandchildren, and her 3 treasured great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, April 14th, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday, April 15th, from 10:30 to 11:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Hwy 35 N, Hazlet. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, April 15th at 12:00 PM at Holy Family R.C. Church, Union Beach. Entombment, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Keyport.
