Annexation hearing set for Thursday
The Round Rock City Council will conduct the first of two public hearings on annexing 15 acres of land at a council meeting Thursday.
The land is located just north of Greenlawn Boulevard and east of Interstate 35, according to a city announcement. The City Council meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 221 E. Main St.
Sam Bass Community Theatre is presenting Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” until Dec. 15. Performances are at 8 p.m. each Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the run and at 2 p.m. each Sunday.

The completion of a water line brought water service to the area earlier this year. The project completion date is targeted at June.
The office of Williamson County Constable Robert Chody, Pct. 1, will hold its annual Brown Santa toy drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Avery Ranch and Parmer Lane.
The office will accept cash and donations of unwrapped toys for children of all ages and genders, according to a news release. Brown Santa toy donations can also be dropped off at several locations throughout the county, including at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, 508 Rock St. in Georgetown. Santa will be available to take photos with pets and their owners from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown.
Pet owners can purchase professional photo packages and holiday cards from $18 to $40. A portion of the proceeds benefit the shelter, according to a county announcement.
