Raiders suspend Mcclain two games for conduct
The Oakland Raiders suspended linebacker Rolando McClain for two games for conduct detrimental to the team after sending him home from practice this week.
Coach Dennis Allen has not said publicly what McClain did to warrant the punishment other than calling it a teamrelated issue.
■ Defensive linemen Desmond Bryant, Lamarr Houston, Tommy Kelly and Matt Shaughnessy were fined $26,250 each by the NFL for fighting Sunday vs. the Bengals.
■ Former Raiders and Giants lineman William Joseph was sentenced to more than two years in federal prison for his role in a South Florida tax theft ring
Bengals: Offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth was fined $26,250 for fighting in Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Colts: Cornerback Vontae Davis, who has missed the past four games with an injured left knee, is expected to start Sunday at Detroit.
Eagles: Quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy, who are both overcoming concussions, won’t play Sunday night at Dallas.
49ers: The California Highway Patrol arrested defensive end Demarcus Dobbs early Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.
Jaguars: Running back Maurice JonesDrew (foot), cornerback Derek Cox (hamstring) and defensive end Austen Lane (foot) were all ruled out of Sunday’s game at Buffalo.
Jets: Backup QB Tim Tebow was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals because of two broken ribs that slowed him all week.
Packers: Linebacker Clay Matthews (hamstring) won’t play Sunday against the Vikings.
■ Safety Jerron McMillian was fined $21,000 for helmet-to-helmet contact with Giants tight end Martellus Bennett on Sunday.
Panthers: Running back Mike Tolbert was fined $21,000 for a blindside block on a kickoff against Philadelphia.
Redskins: Cornerback DeAngelo Hall drew two fines from the NFL that totaled $35,750.
Saints: Defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley was fined $20,000 for kicking the back of 49ers offensive lineman Alex Boone’s helmet Sunday.
Steelers: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (sprained right shoulder and dislocated rib) will not play Sunday in Baltimore, meaning Charlie Batch will make his second consecutive start.
Titans: Linebacker Colin McCarthy (concussion) will not play Sunday against the Texans.
