Vonn completes Alberta hat trick

Lindsey Vonn completed a sweep of World Cup races at Lake Louise, Alberta, for the second straight year. Vonn won the super-G in a time of 1 minute, 22.82 seconds. The American had a hat trick at the Alberta resort for the second straight year after winning all three races in 2011.

■ American Ted Ligety captured his second straight World Cup giant slalom race with a perfect final run in Beaver Creek, Colo. He finished in a combined time of 2 minutes, 25.59 seconds.
