Christ­mas spe­cials really kick in and those “Ex­treme Makeover” episodes filmed af­ter the Bas­trop fires fi­nally air. Here’s what to watch and what to avoid on tele­vi­sion this week.


“Ex­treme Makeover: Home Edi­tion” 7 p.m., ABC: The team builds a new home for the Zdroj fam­ily, vic­tims of the wild­fires in the Bas­trop area.

“Cas­tle” 9 p.m., ABC: Hoho-homi­cide! A dead-ringer for Santa takes that de­scrip­tion a lit­tle too lit­er­ally.

“Blake Shel­ton’s Not-SoFam­ily Christ­mas” 9 p.m., NBC: The va­ri­ety show is back — with a twang! The coun­try crooner pro­vides hol­i­day mu­sic, com­edy and guest stars in­clud­ing Mi­randa Lam­bert and Larry the Ca­ble Guy.


“Ru­dolph the Red-Nosed Rein­deer” 7 p.m., CBS: Have a holly, jolly Christ­mas with Ru­dolph, Her­mie, Yukon Cor­nelius and the gang in this clas­sic, stop-mo­tion an­i­mated spe­cial.
