The

Christmas specials really kick in and those “Extreme Makeover” episodes filmed after the Bastrop fires finally air. Here’s what to watch and what to avoid on television this week.

Monday

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” 7 p.m., ABC: The team builds a new home for the Zdroj family, victims of the wildfires in the Bastrop area.

“Castle” 9 p.m., ABC: Hoho-homicide! A dead-ringer for Santa takes that descriptio­n a little too literally.

“Blake Shelton’s Not-SoFamily Christmas” 9 p.m., NBC: The variety show is back — with a twang! The country crooner provides holiday music, comedy and guest stars including Miranda Lambert and Larry the Cable Guy.

Tuesday

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” 7 p.m., CBS: Have a holly, jolly Christmas with Rudolph, Hermie, Yukon Cornelius and the gang in this classic, stop-motion animated special.
