Organization hosts event for wildfire relief

Bastrop County Fire Relief is hosting a free event for victims of the Bastrop County complex fire from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce conference room, 927 Main St.

The organization, which provides relief distribution services to people who lost their home in the fire, is trying to assess the current and upcoming needs of anyone still struggling with damage done to their property.

Digital Inventory Specialists will offer a free version of its software program that allows people to digitally document personal property, jewelry and other assets.
