Marfa film festival will return

MARFA, TEXAS — A West Texas film festival that debuted in 2008, but then took a two-year hiatus due to legal issues, is scheduled to resume next year.

Organizers of the independent Marfa Film Festival have announced June 26-30 dates for the event in the town of about 2,000.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Sunday that festival creator Robin Lambaria says a legal dispute on ownership and control was resolved in July.
