‘Monsters’ returns in 3-D

“Monsters, Inc.,” the classic 2001 animated feature from Disney / Pixar, is being re-released in theaters on Wednesday in 3-D. The studio declined to screen the new version for critics, but it received much acclaim upon its initial release. The movie lost the best animated film Oscar to “Shrek,” but “Monsters” is a perennial favorite for kids.
