City clerk’s office receives state award

The San Marcos City Clerk’s Office has earned a 2012 Texas Exemplary Five Star Award from the Texas Department of Health for local vital statistics registrars.

The office was one of 49 local registrars to receiving the award. The criteria for deciding who receives the award include timeliness, registration and training.
