Clerk’s of­fice earns award for 15th year

The Wil­liamson County Clerk’s Of­fice has re­ceived a Five Star Vi­tal Reg­is­tra­tion Award from the Texas De­part­ment of Health, State Health Ser­vices Vi­tal Statis­tics Unit for the 15th con­sec­u­tive year.

The of­fice was one of 49 lo­cal reg­is­trars to re­ceiv­ing the award out of more than 529 lo­cal reg­is­trars that were in the run­ning.

The cri­te­ria for re­ceive the award in­cludes time­li­ness of fil­ing reg­is­tra­tions into the state data­base, and an­nual train­ing at con­fer­ences, among oth­ers.

Wil­liamson County of­fices will close for the Christ­mas and New Year’s hol­i­days from Mon­day to Tues­day and from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1, a county news re­lease said. In ad­di­tion, the Com­mis­sion­ers Court will not meet on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1, mak­ing the com­mis­sion­ers’ next meet­ing Jan. 8.
