Clerk’s office earns award for 15th year
The Williamson County Clerk’s Office has received a Five Star Vital Registration Award from the Texas Department of Health, State Health Services Vital Statistics Unit for the 15th consecutive year.
The office was one of 49 local registrars to receiving the award out of more than 529 local registrars that were in the running.
The criteria for receive the award includes timeliness of filing registrations into the state database, and annual training at conferences, among others.
Williamson County offices will close for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays from Monday to Tuesday and from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1, a county news release said. In addition, the Commissioners Court will not meet on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1, making the commissioners’ next meeting Jan. 8.
