Impact austin seeks new members

Local women’s philanthropy group Impact Austin continues to seek new members before the end of the year to meet its membership goal of 500 women.

The group will give five $100,000 grants to nonprofits if it signs up 500 members by Dec. 31.

“We restart our membership drive every year to sign new members, so this is a very important part of our success in helping us reach our goal of continuing to give five area nonprofits at least $100,000 each and every year,” Executive Director Elizabeth Fitzgerald said in a statement.

Since its creation in 2004, Impact Austin has given 35 grants totaling $3.67 million to local groups in the Austin area.
