Po­lice: Death of man found in car near air­port sus­pected homi­cide

The death of a man whose body was dis­cov­ered Tues­day morn­ing in a car at the end of a road east of Austin-Bergstrom In­ter­na­tional Air­port is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated as a homi­cide, po­lice said.

Austin po­lice re­ceived a call just af­ter 11 a.m. re­port­ing an un­con­scious man at the end of Roys­ter Av­enue, said Lt. Ed­mund Hughes. The man, who was in a re­clined po­si­tion in the car, had sus­tained ob­vi­ous trauma, Hughes said, adding that the car had ap­par­ently been parked in the same spot for a few days.

Hughes said Tues­day evening that he had no other iden­ti­fy­ing in­for­ma­tion about the man.

Roys­ter runs north from Texas 71 just east of the air­port and north of the Travis County Cor­rec­tional Com­plex in Del Valle.

A man found dead Tues­day morn­ing in this ve­hi­cle parked at the end of Roys­ter Av­enue had sus­tained ob­vi­ous trauma, po­lice said.
