The death of a man whose body was discovered Tuesday morning in a car at the end of a road east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

Austin police received a call just after 11 a.m. reporting an unconscious man at the end of Royster Avenue, said Lt. Edmund Hughes. The man, who was in a reclined position in the car, had sustained obvious trauma, Hughes said, adding that the car had apparently been parked in the same spot for a few days.

Hughes said Tuesday evening that he had no other identifying information about the man.

Royster runs north from Texas 71 just east of the airport and north of the Travis County Correctional Complex in Del Valle.
