Lawmaker hosts town hall meeting

State Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt of House District 17 will host a town hall meeting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 3 at Bastrop City Hall, 1311 Chestnut St. The meeting will take place before the 83rd legislative session begins.

Kleinschmidt will discuss expected 2013 legislation, but says he mainly wants to hear from the people he represents.

District 17 includes all of Bastrop, Caldwell, Gonzales, Karnes and Lee counties.
