City offering recycling of Christmas trees

Lakeway is offering Christmas tree recycling for residents from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the City Public Works Facility, 3303 Serene Hills Drive, until the end of January. The trees should be left next to the facility’s brush Dumpster with all decorations removed, the city said.

Those who do not want to recycle their trees can dispose of them by cutting the tree into 6 foot lengths and placing them on the curb with the regular trash. The city is offering curbside Christmas tree pickup until the end of January.
