Duke holds Monmouth to 3 points in first half

Tricia Liston scored 15 points for No. 4 Duke, and Monmouth tied a Division I record with three points in the first half of a 73-32 rout Sunday in Durham, N.C.

The Hawks managed just one field goal in the opening 20 minutes vs. the Blue Devils (11-0). Monmouth (3-8) matched the NCAA’s halftime mark in 2003 by Savannah State vs. Florida State and by Tennessee State two years ago against Georgia Tech.

No. 7 Kentucky 78, Marist 56: Jennifer O’Neill’s career-high 21 points led the host Wildcats (12-1) over the Red Foxes (5-6).

No. 13 Tennessee 66, Rutgers 47: The host Lady Volunteers (9-3) earned the program’s 1,2000 victory, defeating the Scarlet Knights (8-4). Tennessee’s Isabelle Harrison recorded a game-high 18 points.

No. 14 Oklahoma State 80, San Diego State 72: Toni Young scored 30 points and Liz Donohoe added 25 to lead the Cowgirls (11-0) over the host Aztecs (8-4) and take the Surf ‘N Slam Classic title.

Bowling Green 65, No. 15 Dayton 40: Alexis Rogers scored 20 points as the host Falcons (9-3) handed the Flyers (12-1) their first defeat.

No. 16 North Carolina 65, Clemson 58: Xylina McDaniel scored 19 points as the Tar Heels (13-1) used a key 19-2 second-half run to beat the host Tigers (4-8) in their ACC opener.

No. 21 Florida State 76, Boston College 70: Alexa Deluzio recorded 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead the host Seminoles (111) over the Eagles (6-5) in their ACC opener.
