Broncos’ Clady tears left ACL

-

The Denver Broncos are searching for someone to watch Peyton Manning’s back after left tackle Ryan Clady tore his left ACL and will likely be out for the seas on.

Clady hurt his knee during a voluntary practice Wednesday, an injury no one thought was really all that serious. Clady was setting up to pass block when his knee buckled, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said. He even took another snap before pulling himself out of practice because his knee was sore.

“We really weren’t that worried last night. Everybody felt good,” Kubiak said. “Thought we’d take a look at it (Thursday). Unfortunately, we got some horrible news.”

■ Cowboys: Despite not attending offseas on activities in hopes of landing a new long-term contract, wide receiver Dez Bryant was at the practice facility agai n.

Although Bryant had previously only been taking part in the strength and conditioning program, he also participated in individual drills Thursday, according to ESPN. com.

The Cowboys and Bryant have until July 15 to reach a long-term agree - ment.

■ Jaguars: Dante Fowler had successful surgery Wednesday to repair a torn ACL in his left knee. Fowler, the team’s firstround draft pick, will miss the seas on.
