The day Daddy got a promotion

Christopher McIlvain walks up to the stage Thursday with his wife, Jennifer, and their children to receive his promotion award at the Austin Police Department’s Retirements, Promotions, and Service Awards ceremony at Cornerstone Church. McIlvain was promoted to assistant chief. The ceremony also honored retiring staff members, as well as officers with 25 and 30 years of service.
