What are your expectations for your team this season?
I have very high expectations for our team.We have a great group of seniors ready to lead the team and another year running the same schemes. Our coaches have prepared us well this offseason, and we are ready to build on last year’s success.
What makes football fun foryou?
Football is fun for me because of how exciting everything is. Playing under the lights on Friday nights is one of the greatest feelings in the world. I love the game and being able to build great relationships with my teammates.
Howdo you like going to a small school?
I love going to a small school because everybody knows each other. I enjoy having small classes because I get more attention from my teachers and learn things better.
How do you balance football with your studies?
Schoolwork is difficult during football season, but I manage. I take advantage of my study halls and weekends so that I can get ahead of homework during the week.
What are your college plans?
I am not entirely sure of where I want to go to college yet, but I know that I want to get a degree in business. I would love to play football in college if the opportunity presented itself.
Ifyou could have dinner with any four people in the history ofthe world, whom would you invite?
Jesus Christ, Troy Aikman, Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
Why Troy Aikman?
Because he was one of the greatest leaders to play the quarterback position. He always pushed everyone around him to be better and had the respect of his teammates.
What do you consider to be the world’s greatest invention?
I think that the cell phone is the greatest invention in the world. It is an extremely convenient form of communication and has many uses.
What’s your favorite food?
My mom’s breakfast tacos.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
My dad always says, “Control only what you can control. ”It teaches me to do my part to the best of my ability and leave the rest up to others and God.
Tell me something about your self that most people don’t know.
I played on the USA Football under-17 national team in 2014.
