With prices starting at $64,895, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is the newest Jeep Grand Cherokee, offering some of the latest technology and sophistication in machinery and performance.

The size and performance capabilities make the 2015 SRT a suitable vehicle for many different needs. Its 6.5-liter Hemi V-8 engine with 8-speed automatic transmission delivers 475 horsepower. To counter the pure power of the SRT, there is the Quad-Trac Active On-Demand 4-Wheel Drive, which is included as a standard feature and regulates the torque and delivers ideal performance.

“Under normal driving conditions, torque is distributed evenly to all wheels. If wheel slippage occurs, the integrated traction control system helps transfer torque to those wheels with traction,” according to www.jeep.com.

Accelerating from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds, this 2015 Jeep also has a maximum speed of 160 mph.

Because this great big engine works extra hard, it has a heavyduty engine cooling system to maintain the ideal temperature. To support a longer and more efficient journey, drivers can choose the Eco Mode or Fuel Saver Technology to find the balance between economy and performance.

For difficult driving situations, it is imperative to have powerful brakes, and that is just what the 2015 SRT provides. Brembo High-Performance Anti-Lock Brakes and the Advanced Brake Assist technology work together, helping the driver who is caught unawares by a collision - when the SRT senses an impending accident, the brake assist kicks in by applying the full brake pressure. All of this is made possible by the camera’s advanced sensor technology.

For the bolder driver, there is the Sport Mode, which gives the 2015 SRT another level of intensity and is just one of the modes available to drivers. Selec-Trac allows the driver to change the many factors which contribute to the SRT’s performance, such as torque distribution, shift schedule, stability control and engine mapping.

The exterior of the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT presents a bold profile with its broad body and footprint and the polished five-spoke wheels. It is also fitted with bright LED daytime running lights and the front grille, which gives the SRT a distinct appearance.

Technology works together with the exterior features of the 2015 SRT through the tire-pressure monitoring display. “The cluster screen changes to the tire pressure display when the system senses the pressure on any tire (excluding the spare) is either too low or too high,” according to www.jeep.com.

Though the Jeep is a bold vehicle that can handle the elements, the interior is luxurious enough to keep the driver and passengers tucked away in comfort. Eight-way power driver and passenger seats are standard in the SRT. For added comfort, there is the four-way driver-passenger lumbar adjustment and heated seats. The heated seating extends to the second-row seating, as does the standard leather seats with perforated ultra suede.

A leather-wrapped heated steering wheel is ready to handle colder conditions, while the leather-wrapped shift knob continues in this theme of luxury. Steering-wheel-mounted shift levers allow the driver to shift without ever having to take hands off the wheel. The Active Noise Control System and air filtering reduce noise pollutants, as well as physical ones.

Technology and safety work hand-in-hand in the 2015 SRT. Three-point center rear seat belt, active head restraints and advanced multistage front airbags are just a few of the features that keep driver, passengers and cargo protected.

Whatever job comes its way, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is ready to work hard and perform well.
