Nyle Maxwell Super Center raises $3,520 for Round Rock School Band

The Nyle Maxwell Super Center recently hosted a Dodge Booster Club fundraiser and raised $3,520 for the Round Rock High School Band.

During the fundraiser, the Dodge brand contribute­d $20 for each test drive taken in a new Dodge Dart, Durango, Grand Caravan, Journey, Charger or Challenger.

“It is very rewarding for Dodge to partner with our dealers on this wonderful program that gives thousands of dollars to local booster clubs to support their high school students,” said Jeffrey Kommor, vice president of operations, FCA US LLC. “It’s a win-win program for parents, dealers and students alike, and a great way to showcase our exciting 2015 Dodge vehicle lineup.”

“The fundraiser was a great opportunit­y for the Nyle Maxwell Super Center Family to give back to our community, which is something we always look forward to doing,” said Mike Wilson, general manager of the Nyle Maxwell Super Center.

“It was a pleasure to partner with the parents and students from the Round Rock High School Dragon Band. On behalf of the dealership and the Dodge brand, I would like to thank everyone who took time to test drive. Go, Dragons.”

In addition to the Booster Club fundraisin­g, the Round Rock High School Dragon Band also partnered with the Nyle Maxwell Super Center to raffle off a new 2015 Dodge Challenger or a new 2015 Jeep Cherokee, based on the winner’s choice.

With the cooperatio­n of local dealers such as the Nyle Maxwell Super Center in Austin, the Dodge brand supports local school- and student-enrichment programs in communitie­s across the United States and has helped raise over $6 million since 1993. Last year, Dodge donated more than $725,000 to local high school organizati­ons through the Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser.

This is the second time in three years that it has been named to this prestigiou­s list. The list consists of 100 new car dealership­s chosen from the U.S. and Canada.

FIAT Alfa Romeo of Austin ranked in the Top 10 for small dealership­s and 22nd overall. The list is chosen based on excellence in workplace satisfacti­on, talent retention and fair treatment of employees.

FIAT Alfa Romeo of Austin is the largest FIAT dealership in North America, with multiple nationwide sales records.

On its success, General Manager Lisa Copeland has said the dealership has achieved so much because “we do what we love, and love what we do every single day. But most importantl­y, we love who we do it with.”

Copeland and her management team have created a workplace environmen­t in which employees’ opinions are heard and valued, with several employee ideas implemente­d as standard policy. She has said that she “prefers to hire outside the auto industry. I don’t like retreads. I prefer to train them myself and introduce them to our ‘delivering happiness’ culture.”

Employees of the dealership enjoy unique perks such as company luncheons with guest speakers and profit sharing for all employees.
