UCF’s 7-foot-6 freshman cleared by NCAA: The University of Central Florida announced that the NCAA on Friday cleared center Tacko Fall, a native of Senegal, to play this season. The Knights open their season tonight at Davidson. Fall’s eligibility was in doubt after the NCAA stopped him from participating in practices while it reviewed his academic record. Fall attended high school in Tavares, Fla., the past two years.
