Buccaneers’ Winston could be good fantasy team pick,
It wasn’t the prettiest game, but the Thursday night tilt between the Jets and Bills produced quite a few solid fantasy scores. LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams both did well for Buffalo, while Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker and Chris Ivory put up good num
Confident plays
Jameis Winston, Buccaneers QB — The rookie has been solid all year, and he’s accounted for at least one touchdown in every game. He faces the Cowboys, who are pretty good in points allowed to quarterbacks (ranked sixth), but they’re terrible in forcing turnovers. If wide receiver Mike Evans can get over his case of the butterfingers, things could be really good for the quarterback.
James Starks, Packers RB — He was named the starter this week and will face the 28th-ranked team in fantasy points allowed to running backs in the Lions. He’s coming off a game in which he rushed 10 times for 39 yards and caught six passes for 83 yards and scored. Even if Eddie Lacy has an impact, Starks should still get his numbers against Detroit.
Darren McFadden, Cowboys RB — Of course, any time you mention McFadden as a confident play it comes with an obvious caveat about his health. If that holds up, he should be good to go as he’s had at least 26 touches in each of the last three games. The Buccaneers are 10th best in points allowed to running backs, but the Cowboys aren’t letting anyone else run the ball.
Michael Crabtree, Raiders WR — It’s time to start believing in Crabtree. He’s had two straight 100-yard games and he has scored four touchdowns in the last three weeks. Since the bye week, Crabtree has the edge in targets over Amari Cooper, 32-28.
