Ex-TV reporter gets 3 years for stalking
A former Texas television reporter must serve more than three years in federal prison for stalking an ex-boss and the executive’s wife.
Gabriel Robert Caggiano, 57, of Los Angeles was sentenced Wednesday in San Antonio. Caggiano in March pleaded guilty to stalking.
Investigators say Caggiano in 2008 was fired from a Corpus Christi TV station for threatening behavior. Prosecutors say Caggiano in 2015 harassed — with voicemail, texts and social media — his former boss and the man’s wife, who had since moved to San Antonio.
The ex-journalist was arrested in November. Caggiano, who was sentenced to 41 months in prison, also had been a TV reporter in Austin and San Antonio.
