Austin wins 3rd straight

Four Austin Spurs scored at least 18 points as the team won its third in a row by defeating the Northern Arizona Suns 114-101 in Prescott Valley, Ariz., on Wednesday night.

Charles Garcia scored 21 and Orlando Johnson added 20 to help Austin (25-24) keep the winning streak alive.

Jeff Ledbetter had 19 points, including 4 for 5 from 3-point range, as the Spurs connected on 50 percent of their longrange shots. Austin finished 13 of 26 from beyond the arc.

Patricio Garino had the best night from beyond the arc, connecting on all four of his attempts. He finished with 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

Josh Gray of Northern Arizona led all scorers with 24 points. He added five rebounds and five assists.

Elijah Millsap had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Suns.

Austin took a three-point lead after the first quarter, but it was a strong second quarter that helped it take control.

The Spurs outscored the Suns 30-19 in the second to take a 14-point lead into half- time.

The Suns (22-27) cut the lead to eight by the begin- ning of the fourth quarter.

Ryan Arcidiacon­o had 10 rebounds as the Spurs outrebound­ed the Suns 50-36.

Already eliminated from playoff contention, the Spurs will try to end the regular season with a winning record as t hey h ost S ioux Falls at 7 p.m. Saturday.
