Roger Beasley Mazda donates car to benefit Austin Humane Society
The 13th annual Austin Humane Society Car Raffle takes place from 11 a .m.to1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Roger Beasley Mazda Central. Roger Beasley Mazda is
donating a jet black 2016 Mazda MX-5 Sport Convertible valued at more than $26,000 for the raffle, all to benefit the Austin Humane Society. A winner will be drawn on Saturday, April 29th at noon at Roger Beasley Mazda Central,
located at 6825 Burnet Road. In addition to the drawing, the event also features adorable adoptable pets, catering by Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Qandal ive broadcast by Juliet with KKMJ 95.5
“Each year, the car raffle raises tens of thousands of dollars for the animals at the Austin Humane Society,” said Emily O’Brien, Development Manager for AHS. “This single fundraiser allows us to provide thousands of nights of safe shelter, life-saving medicine
and surgeries, and endless love to the most vulnerable cats and dogs in our community.”

and the people who love them. It is the largest no-kill, not for profit pet and adoption center in Austin, and is dedicated to protecting Austin’s homeless cats and dogs, and educating the community about responsible pet ownership.
Thanks in part to annual fundraisers like the Car Raffle, AHS provides innovative, nationally recognized programs, and humane animal services that give homeless animals a chance to thrive in a loving environment. While the winner of this year’s AHS Car Raffle is yet to be determined, the animals at AHS are already loving the MX-5 drop top, and a few have even been spotted around town riding passenger in the brand-new ride.
“We’ve had a blast this year showcasing our adoptable pets in the MX-5 during our weekly Cruising Critter powered by Roger Beasley Mazda. The animals are the perfect models as they truly love the convertible and feeling the breeze on their faces. In fact, some of our pets have even found their forever families because of this fun feature on social media! A young couple from San Marcos fell in love with Liam after seeing his pictures in the MX-5 and tracked him down at an event on Rainey Street to adopt – it was incredible to see our marketing efforts in action,” said Emily O’Brien.
As an annual Austin favorite, the AHS Car Raffle has raised over one million dollars since the inaugural raffle thirteen years ago. Because of Roger Beasley Mazda’s generosity each year, the Austin Humane Society is able to continue to provide the utmost care to this vulnerable population in our community, serving over 11,000 homeless animals year after year. Although tickets for the 13th annual AHS Car Raffle are now sold out, be sure to keep an eye out next January to get your hands on a stylish, new ride all while giving back to a good cause. The Austin Humane Society encourages everyone to join the fun during the Car Raffle Drawing next Saturday, April 29th at Roger Beasley Mazda Central.
