Oakland quarterback Derek Carr left the Raiders’ game at Denver late in the third quar- ter Sunday after taking a knee to the back on a sack.

Carr was hit by defensive end Shelby Harris and was go i ng down when defen- sive end Adam Gotsis flew in and wrapped a padded arm between his helmet and shoulder pads.

Carr remained on the ground for several moments as team trainers and medical person- nel came on to the field to tend to him. He eventually was able to get up and walk off the field on his own power, holding his lower back.

He was replaced in the game by EJ Manuel.

Vikings: Dalvin Cook made the cut and appeared to know instantly something wasn’t right. Cook, who had 66 rushing yards Sunday, instantly grabbed at his left knee while dropping the ball on his 13th carry of the game.

The Vikings fear Cook sustained an injury to his left anterior cruciate ligament, according to coach Mike Zimmer.

“We’re concerned about his ACL but he’s going to get an MRI in the morning and we’ll find out,” Zimmer said, adding: “If you lose a guy like him, you lose a lot of firepower.”

The fumble eventually led to a Lions touchdown after Cook, their rookie star, went down. Cook immediately went to the locker room and was ruled out almost instantly by the Vikings medical staff.

Tennessee: Quarterback Marcus Mariota rushed for two touchdowns in the first half but injured a hamstring on the second one and did not play in the final two quarters of a 57-14 loss to the Texans.

Coach Mike Mularkey said Mariota would undergo an MRI exam. Matt Cassel replaced Mariota. Falcons: Lost starting receiv- ers Julio Jones (hip flexor injury) and Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) in falling 23-17 to the Bills. Jones caught three passes for 30 yards, Sanu one for 3 yards.

Saints: Right tackle Zach Strief (knee) left the game and did not return. Tight end Josh Hill (concussion) and linebacker Alex Anzalone (shoulder) also left and did not return.

Panthers: Safety Kurt Coleman (knee) exited in the second quarter against the Patriots and did not return. The Panthers also lost receiver Damiere Byrd (forearm).

Bills: Safety Colt Anderson left in the first quarter with an arm injury and was ruled out.
