Aronofsky joins list of SXSW speakers
Filmmaker directed ‘Black Swan,’ ‘The Wrestler,’ others.
South by Southwest on Tuesday announced another round of featured speakers as its lineup for March 2018 continues to fill out. Filmmaker Darren Aronofsky was named a keynote speaker, joining a list that already includes author Ta-Naheisi Coates, director Barry Jenkins, psychotherapist Esther Perel and Austin financial tech entrepreneur William “whurley” Hurley.
Aronofsky is the headliner of the new list. He directed “Black Swan,” “The Wrestler,” “Noah” and “Mother,” among other films.
The tech world was represented in some of the featured speaker additions, which included Austin’s GSD&M co-founder Roy Spence, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and others.
