Lessons learned from a yearlong suspension have guided Alex Rodriguez during his post-playing career.

Rodriguez spoke about baseball and his future endeavors at South by Southwest on Monday. His appearance at the Austin Convention Center was partially used to promote an upcoming television series in which Rodriguez guides Joe Smith, the top pick in the 1995 NBA draft, after a financial disaster. “Back in the Game” is set to premiere on CNBC tonight.
