of the blues. Performers’ names aren’t listed on the site, but Coplin is so wellconnected to the scene that it seems likely some of the city’s top talent will be on hand. The $25 ticket price ($100 VIP) benefits Housing Oppportunities for Musicians & Entertainers, the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians and Pinetop Assistance League. 6:30 p.m. 305 E. Fifth St. antonesnightclub. com. — P.B.

Tuesday through April 7: Southern Culture on the Skids at Continental Club. SCOTS is coming, so the Lonestar Roundup must not be far behind. The annual hotrod convention at the Travis County Expo Center is April 6-7, but North Carolina’s rip-roaring trailertrash trio always gets into town early, playing five straight nights at the South Congress nightspot closely associated with the roundup. They received the ultimate musician’s tribute when Weird Al Yankovic parodied one of their songs a few years ago, but you don’t need Al to have plenty of laughs and a rockin’ good time at a Southern Culture show. $15-$20. Midnight. 1315 S. Congress Ave. continentalclub.com. — P.B.

Wednesday: Texas Radio Live with Ray Prim, Western Youth at Guero’s. Sun Radio’s weekly live-on-the-air show from the oak garden at this South Congress restaurant does a fine job of surveying the broad range of music rising up out of Austin, and this double bill is a great example. Soulful singersongwriter Ray Prim, one of our Austin360 Artists of the Month last year, leads a band that brings out the richness of his melodies and rhythms. Western Youth mines more of a roots-rock vein, drawing upon country influences but cranking things up with plenty of frenetic electric energy. $10 suggested donation. 6 to 8 p.m. sunradio.com/trl. — P.B.

Thursday: Rostam, Sam Buck at 3Ten. In his post-Vampire Weekend life, singer and multiinstrumentalist Rostam Batmanglij seems to have found his groove. The songs on his buoyant solo debut “Half-Light” shimmer with euphoric synth lines that defined his work with the college rock faves, but the solo material has a much deeper emotional core. There’s still witty lyricism aplenty, but a lot more heart. On the leg of his tour he recently wrapped, he performed with a string quartet and a drummer, and reports from the shows sound lovely and sublime. $18.50-$20. 9 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. 3tenaustin.com. — D.S.S.
