GroupBy, an e-commerce and media provider, plans to double its staff in Austin and Toronto, company executives said.

The move will add 30 GroupBy Austin employees in the next 12 months — part of 100 new positions to be added across the company’s two North American offices, according to GroupBy CEO Roland Gossage.

Austin is GroupBy’s U.S. headquarters, and Toronto is its corporate headquarters.

The company said it plans to invest $3 million in Austin over the next year.

Currently, 26 of the company’s 96 employees work in the Austin office. The company also announced that it will open new offices in Europe by early 2019.

“To build a next-generation experience for our customers, we need the best and brightest minds in software design and development, which is why we are doubling-down on our investments in our current teams in conjunction with finding new talent in North America and Europe to add to our DNA,” Gossage said in a written statement.

Austin became GroupBy’s U.S. headquarters last June after the company acquired Austin-based software company Edgecase, a maker of software for online retailers.

GroupBy, founded in 2013, invested $1.5 million in Austin in the past 12 months, according to Gossage.

The company’s clients include Urban Outfitters, CVS Pharmacy, Cabela’s and Crate & Barrel.
