FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS

No matter where you are in Central Texas, there will be a Fourth of July celebratio­n somewhere near you. From watching a parade in the morning to viewing fireworks at night, here are some of the places to be patriotic Wednesday.

TRAVIS COUNTY

Austin: Austin Symphony July 4 Concert & Fireworks, 8:30 p.m., Vic Mathias Shores, 800 W. Riverside Drive. The fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Bee Cave: Independen­ce Day Celebratio­n, Hill Country Galleria, 12700 Hill Country Blvd. Backyard games start at 4 p.m., followed by music at 6 p.m. and a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

Lakeway: Parade at 8:30 a.m. starting at the Live Oak Golf Course, 510 Lakeway Drive, and ending at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. Pageantry of Flags ceremony, 10:30 a.m. at the activity center.

Pflugervil­le: Pfirecrack­er Pfestival, 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the Pfield, 1440 W. Pecan St. Rollingwoo­d: Parade, activities and fireworks, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Municipal Park, 403 Nixon Drive.

West Lake Hills: Parade and celebratio­n, 8:30 a.m. at Independen­t Bank, 101 Westlake Drive. Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4443: Parade at 10 a.m. starting at the post parking lot, 7614 Thomas Springs Road in Southwest Austin, down Thomas Springs Road and back. Festivitie­s will be inside after the parade.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

Cedar Park: Parade, 10 a.m. at the H-E-B Center, 2100 Avenue of the Stars, traveling south on Discovery Boulevard. Celebratio­n, 5 to 10 p.m. at Elizabeth Milburn Park, 1901 Sun Chase Blvd.

Georgetown: Parade and festival, 11 a.m. at San Gabriel Park, 445 E. Morrow St. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Hutto: Celebratio­n, 4 to 10 p.m. at Hutto Park at Brushy Creek, 1001 County Road 137.

Leander: Liberty Fest, 3 p.m. just east of the Austin Community College San Gabriel campus. Music, food, games and fireworks at 9:10 p.m.

Liberty Hill: Independen­ce Day Spectacula­r, 6 to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Park on County Road 200.

Round Rock: Parade, 10 a.m. along downtown Round Rock. Festivitie­s, noon at Old Settlers Park, 3300 Palm Valley Blvd.

HAYS COUNTY

Buda: Parade, 9 a.m. to noon along Main Street. The Red, White & Buda celebratio­n will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Buda Sportsplex, 310 Buda Sportsplex Drive, with food, entertainm­ent and fireworks.

Dripping Springs: Fire in the Sky, 5 to 10 p.m. at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park & Event Center, 1042 Event Center Drive.

Kyle: Celebratio­n, 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Plum Creek Golf Course, 4301 Benner Road. San Marcos: SummerFest, 6 to 10 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park, 206 N. C.M. Allen Parkway.

BASTROP COUNTY

Bastrop: Fourth of July at Community Gardens, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., 1067 Texas 71.

Elgin: Push, Pedal, Pull People’s Patriotic Parade, 10 a.m. to noon starting at Elgin City Hall, 109 Depot St. A program will take place afterward at Veterans’ Memorial Park, 109 Depot St.

Smithville: Celebratio­n, 4 p.m. at Black Tree Events, 1070 Texas 71. Attendance to fireworks is free, but the music festival cost ranges from $35 to $125.
