Police: Woman injured in fight near campus

A woman was cut late Monday during a fight near the University of Texas campus, UT officials said.

UT Police Chief David Carter said one person was arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct after the suspect inadvertently cut a woman’s arm in the incident, which involved three people near 27th Street and Whitis Avenue before 10:30 p.m.

The victim, who is estimated to be in her 50s, has minor injuries and was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center, university and Austin-Travis County EMS officials said.
