■ Red Sox: SS Xander Bogaerts tacked four more hits, including a two-run homer, on to his majorleagu­e-leading total and the Red Sox broke away late to beat the Twins 15-4 on Saturday. Bogaerts, who raised his average to .358, also doubled, scored four runs and drove in three. OF Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a three-run homer, C Sandy Leon went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, DH David Ortiz had three more hits against his former team, and OF Mookie Betts and OF Chris Young drove in two runs each. ■ Nationals: RHP Tanner Roark scattered six hits and struck out seven over seven innings and also collected his second career RBI on a bunt as the Nationals rolled to an 8-0 victory over the Phillies. SS Stephen Drew and 3B Anthony Rendon had two RBIs apiece for the first-place Nationals, who have won nine of 12 to move a season-high 14 games over .500. ■ Reds: OF Jay Bruce hit a two-run homer off RHP Daniel Mengden, who made his majorleagu­e debut after a speedy rise through the minors, and the Reds held on for a 2-1 victory that sent the A’s to their seventh straight loss. RHP Dan Straily threw seven inning to earn the win. ■ Rockies: OF Charlie Blackmon hit a tiebreakin­g solo homer off the foul pole in the fifth and RHP Tyler Chatwood effectivel­y threw into the seventh, lifting the Rockies to a 5-3 win over the Padres. OF Carlos Gonzalez had a three-run homer in the first inning and an RBI single in the fifth for the Rockies. ■ Brewers: OF Ryan Braun hit two home runs, RHP Wily Peralta had another and the Brewers used five homers to beat the Mets 7-4. Braun ended an 0-for-15 skid with his long ball in the third inning and his second followed Scooter Gennett’s shot in the seventh. Chris Carter also added his 17th home run of the season. ■ Astros: OF Carlos Gomez and 3B Luis Valbuena hit solo home runs to back the pitching of Mike Fiers and lead the Astros over the Rays 4-3. RHP Fiers won for only the second time in a month.
