MIKE PRESTON’S KEY MATCHUPS
Robinson is the Jaguars’ big-play weapon. In what’s been a slow start compared with last season, he has nine catches for 126 yards and is averaging 14 yards per reception. Quarterback Blake Bortles will give him opportunities, especially if he lines up against Wright. Wright played well in the opener against Buffalo but struggled last week against Cleveland. Smith has his share of ups and downs. On some days, he can be very good, and other days he disappears. He’ll need to play well against Robinson. Edge: Jaguars Jaguars MLB Paul Posluszny vs. Ravens C Jeremy Zuttah or John Urschel: Regardless of who the Ravens start at center, they have to cut off Posluszny, who isn’t overly fast but is tough and extremely hard-nosed. He is strong playing inside the tackles against the run. The Ravens have struggled trying to run the ball inside, but the Jaguars have struggled, especially with Posluszny drawing a lot of double teams. Edge: Even Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey vs. Ravens WRs Steve Smith and Mike Wallace: The Ravens wanted Ramsey in the draft, but the Jaguars drafted him one spot sooner. The Ravens know he is an outstanding player, but he is also a rookie and prone to mistakes. Smith and Wallace are veterans who should be able to take advantage of him. The first-round pick out of Florida State is smart, though, and won’t make the same mistakes twice. Edge: Ravens
