SCOUTING REPORT

- By Jeff Zrebiec

The Ravens developed some rhythm in their passing game after Joe Flacco started taking more shots down the field late in the first half against the Cleveland Browns. They have 10 players who have at least two catches, and Mike Wallace has all three of the team’s touchdowns. There remains a desire to get Breshad Perriman, Maxx Williams and Crockett Gillmore more involved. Thanks largely to Dennis Pitta, the Ravens have a 51.6 percent conversion rate on third down.

Blake Bortles is one of only two quarterbacks to have thrown for more than 300 yards in each of the first two games, but the Jaguars have been one-dimensional. Bortles’ 89 passing attempts tie the Redskins’ Kirk Cousins for a league high. Bortles has also thrown three interceptions. The Jaguars have one of the NFL’s top receiving duos in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, and a quality tight end in Julius Thomas, but they are converting only 23.1 percent of their third downs.
