Fastening heart-shaped necklace definitely a snap

- By Judi Dash

Securing a necklace with a tiny clasp is not among the pleasures of solo travel. That’s when a fairy godmother — or rather a Fairy Necklace fastener — comes in handy. This is a two-part, heartshaped metal necklaceclasp adapter with a magnet. You attach the heart halves to the ends of your necklace (the O ring on one side and the clasp or lobster claw on the other), and they snap together, thanks to the magnets. An internal pin system automatically clicks in place for an extra level of security when the magnets engage. To remove the necklace, twist apart the two heart halves. The Necklace Fairy fastener comes in a gold- or silver-plated finish with three little crystals that add a crescent of bling. It costs $19.95.
