NO. 1 EASTERN TECH 4, NO. 4 HEREFORD 3, 8 INNINGS: The host Mavericks (19-1) tied the game with two runs in the sixth inning and scored the game-winner in the eighth to beat the Bulls (15-3) in a Class 2A North region championship.

Jodie Bronushas gave up three runs on eight hits and struck out five in eight innings for the win.
