Towson wins with fourth-quarter surge

The Towson football team went on a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter in a 26-14 come-from-behind victory Saturday over host William & Mary.

The Tigers (4-6, 2-5 Colonial Athletic Associatio­n) led 12-0 before falling behind 14-12 to the Tribe (2-8, 0-7) in the first half. Towson scored twice over a 1:12 span in the fourth quarter with touchdown runs by Kobe Young (4 yards) and Ryan Stover (2 yards).

DELAWARE STATE 33, MORGAN STATE 30: The visiting Bears (1-9, 1-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took a 30-23 lead with 4:03 left in the game, but the Hornets (2-8, 2-6) scored twice over the final 1:05 to win.

Jacob Jones scored a safety with 1:05 and Keenan Black completed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Trey Gross (Annapolis) with nine seconds left to win.

FROSTBURG STATE 14, SALISBURY 7, OT: Connor Cox (South River) completed two touchdown passes, including the game-winner in overtime as the visiting Bobcats (9-1, 8-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference) claimed the Regents Cup.

Cox (15-for-29, 184 yards) completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Sergio Andino (Northeast) for a 7-0 lead with 9:08 left in the first half. The Sea Gulls (7-3, 7-2) tied the score on a 47-yard run by Malique Pratt (Southern) with 12 minutes left in regulation.

STEVENSON 20, LYCOMING 14: The host Mustangs (6-4, 6-3 Middle Atlantic Conference) held the Warriors (4-6, 4-5) to 147 yards of total offense to win.

Stevenson led 14-7 at halftime and extended that lead to 20-7 with 2:10 to go in the third when freshman Ian Gould (Westminste­r) made a 28-yard field goal.

JOHNS HOPKINS 56, MCDANIEL 21: The visiting Blue Jays (9-1, 8-1) had a school-record 49 points and 447 yards at halftime to clinch a share of their ninth consecutiv­e Centennial Conference title and a trip to the NCAA tournament.

Matt Cathey rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns for the Green Terror (3-7, 2-7).
