Paddle through Canada’s wild Northwest Territories
|
QIf you’re fit, adventuresome and looking to get away from it all, Adventure Canada is offering a new trip that explores the Keele River in Canada’s Northwest Territories by canoe. Planned for July 12-26, 2018, the trip will spend 10 days on the water while navigating through the Mackenzie Mountains wilderness. Though the Keele is described as fast and boisterous, it’s also large enough that there are smooth paths available, making the trip appropriate for paddlers with limited experience. And, by the time the journey winds down, you’ll likely be confident enough to tackle more challenging runs. Wildlife that’s likely to be sighted includes caribou, grizzly and black bears, eagles and moose. The trip is priced from about $5,452 per person; tax and airfare to the starting point not included.
